Theme wedding?

Growing in popularity of late is the theme wedding. Something out of the traditional white gown, flowers and a church way of thinking. Mid-evil, Disney, Circus, Haunted House, Scuba, Skydiving, Cinderella, Star Wars, Clown/ Circus, Robbin Hood, you name it, it's probably been done or in the process.
You should make sure you are both on the same page as to what type of wedding you want to have.
After you have settled on it, unless it's a surprise, it's probably a good idea to let your guests know. Remind them a few times so there is no mistaking what you are planning and what you expect for them. If you want them to join in the fun and they are going to have to rent, make or buy a costume, they need to have time to get their outfit together.
If you are thinking you might like to have a theme, but not sure what yet click here for a great site to get your mind flowing with ideas.

Budget for success

The most important thing to do after the question is POPPED is to sit down and figure out a serious budget. Don't just guess at it find out what you have to spend and then start calling the vendors. From bridal gowns to professional flowers to the entertainment that will rock your evening. Know your numbers.

Get professional help from a wedding planner if you can. They will have the insight to some of the best vendors in town.

Make a list of your wants and needs then prioritize them from the most important to the least.

-Do you care about spending more money on the cake or the music?

-Are you looking for a Coldplay cover band or a Deejay who can play anything you want?

-Is an outside venue in a garden something you have always dreamed of or will you have it inside a Hilton Hotel?

-Are you paying for the Vera Wang bridal party gowns or will the party be paying for their own?

-Open bar with all the alcohol they can drink or will your sorority sisters have to they pay as they go?

-Are you planning on a Hawaiian Honeymoon or a Tahoe bed and breakfast?

All of these things need to be considered at the beginning. The biggest mistake you can make in budgeting for this special day is not sitting down right now and doing it.
